Our responsibility

At Southern Drapes, our heritage is built on more than craftsmanship; it is built on care. As a team and as a business, we take pride in working responsibly, refining the way we source, create and operate with thought and consideration. Our guiding belief is simple: to leave every project, process and relationship better than we found it.

In partnership with our clients, we choose materials that help to reduce waste, conserve energy and minimise environmental impact. We are on a journey towards becoming a zero-plastic operation, having already reduced plastic in our incoming supply chain by ninety percent and in our outgoing processes by ninety five percent.
In our London workroom, over forty five percent of our energy is generated through solar power. We continue to lower our energy use with LED lighting and by transitioning our vehicles to hybrid and electric models, reflecting our commitment to a more sustainable future.
No fabric is ever wasted. Surplus materials are offered to local schools, colleges and craft groups, giving them new life while supporting creativity in our community.

Our sense of care extends beyond our workroom. We support charities such as The Salvation Army and Candlelighters, while also contributing internationally through Orphans In Need.
Our environmental management systems are designed to meet ISO fourteen thousand and one standards and we are working towards full accreditation. For us, excellence in craft sits hand in hand with excellence in responsibility: to our clients, our community and our planet.
